Pollution -Antarctica's ice shelf

Once again, due to global warming we have yet another worldwide problem. Antarctica’s ice shelf is on the edge of giving way. This is a major issue because when the shelf collapses the map of this continent will be altered. It used to cover 16 000 square kilometers but will now lose one third of it. Once it breaks apart, the sea might sweep away most of the ice that’s left.

This is not the first time this is happening as nine other shelves in Antarctica have collapsed in the past fifty years. When this shelf has collapsed, the ice sheets will move a lot faster and therefore, raise the water level, adding water to seas. This is what global warming has done to us.

Yet, everyone couldn’t care less about the earth and how he or she pollutes it everyday. Sometimes we take a taxi instead of cycling or walking. Furthermore, we litter and pollute the place when we can simply recycle, reuse, and reduce.

Although, 190 nations are working together to try and fix global warming and the emissions from burning fossil fuels it has been getting worse from the start and has not got any better. Well? What are you going to do to stop polluting the environment, littering, and global warming? Everyone plays a role, so start now and help save earth by doing your part.
