Why are women bad drivers?
Ever since women drivers hit the roads, there have been countless complaints about how reckless, ruthless, careless and bad female drivers are. We chose to investigate with the following points to support our claims.
There are some old female drivers that try to be extra cautious when driving. Thus, they tend to drive extremely slowly, below the speed limit on the highway. This leads to road hogging, when the vehicle takes up the whole lane with a lot of space in front of the car. Furthermore, they can also cause traffic congestions.
On the other hand, there are young female drivers as well. Some of them drive recklessly at extreme speeds, going way above the speed limit while imposing threats to other road users. Usually, these young women are hard pressed for time, impatient and forget about road safety.
When in a hurry, most women tend to multi-task while driving. They put on their make-up, talk on the phone, or attend to their children. When they multi-task their attention is shifted from the road to their own things, losing concentration. This can lead to car accidents that can be easily prevented.
Parking is women’s biggest problem in driving. They spend a lot of time parallel parking because they have poor judgment and can’t estimate the turn.
There are more female drivers that are negligent. They only focus on what’s ahead of them, but are oblivious of their surroundings. For example, when changing lanes they fail to keep a lookout for the oncoming traffic.
If you think that our POV(point of view) is insignificant, take it from an England Driving Intructor; who talks about this issue through her years behind the wheel.
In conclusion, it is evident that some women are poor drivers and do pose a risk to other road users, while other women are safer from accidents because of their driving. However, we can in fact educate the drivers to be caution of this small-yet-vastly-growing-bunch of women drivers.
